A Fresh Look at Parachute Self Storage: New Gate, New Murals

If you have driven I-70 through Parachute lately, you may have noticed something new at Exit 75. Parachute Self Storage has a fresh look: a newly branded, secure entrance gate at our 427 Cardinal Way location and new canyon country murals at both of our Parachute, CO facilities. It is the same locally run storage you know, with a sharper front porch.

Parachute has always been a gateway town. Folks here head up into the Roan Plateau to hunt and hike, boat on the Colorado River, and commute the I-70 corridor between Rifle and Grand Junction. Our two locations on Cardinal Way sit right in the middle of that life, next to the Sinclair station and a couple minutes from Battlement Mesa Golf Club. We thought the outside of our place should look as good as the country around it.

The new entrance gate at 427 Cardinal Way

The first thing you will see at 427 Cardinal Way is our new branded entrance. The secure gate now carries clear Parachute Self Storage signage, so there is no guessing whether you are in the right place, and it walks new renters through how to open an account and get straight to their unit.

Behind the sign, the gate is doing its real job. Both of our locations are fully fenced and gated, with camera coverage across the property, and tenants enjoy 24 hour gated access seven days a week. Your stuff stays locked down, and you can still grab it whenever you need it, whether that is before a dawn fishing trip or after a late shift.

Canyon murals at both locations

The bigger surprise is the art. The murals take their cue from the canyon country around us, the same red rock walls, river bends, and big sky you see driving toward De Beque. You will find them on the perimeter wall at 156 Cardinal Way and on the buildings and walls at 427 Cardinal Way.

Storage buildings are usually something you drive past without a second look. We would rather be a landmark. When a neighbor gives directions and says, turn at the storage place with the mural, that is a win in our book.

Same easy storage, two locations

The facelift is new, but the way we do business has not changed. Between our two Cardinal Way properties (the main site at 427 and the annex at 156, about half a mile apart) we offer drive-up storage units in a range of sizes plus boat, RV, trailer, and vehicle parking. Every rental is month to month with no deposit required, and you can rent online in just a few minutes without waiting on an office.

We serve renters from Parachute, Battlement Mesa, Rifle, Palisade, De Beque, and Antlers, and we are easy to reach from anywhere in the valley. If you are not sure what size you need, our storage size guide breaks it down in plain terms, and our RV and boat storage page covers the parking options for the bigger toys.

Parachute is a town on the move, with growth up and down the I-70 corridor in Garfield County and more folks discovering what the Town of Parachute has to offer. We are proud to invest in our corner of it.

Can I get into my unit whenever I need to?

Yes. Both locations offer 24 hour gated access, seven days a week. You come and go on your schedule, not ours.

Where exactly are the two locations?

Both are on Cardinal Way in Parachute, right off I-70 at Exit 75: 156 Cardinal Way and 427 Cardinal Way, Parachute, CO 81635, about half a mile apart on the same road. Our main site and office are at 427, with the annex at 156.

What can I store besides a regular unit?

Along with drive-up units, we have parking for boats, RVs, trailers, and vehicles, all month to month with no deposit.

How do I rent a unit?

Rent online in a few minutes from your phone, or call or text us at (970) 285-7102. We are happy to walk you through sizes and help you pick the right spot.
